Planning permission sought for apartments
The face of Quinnsboro Road could be changed if a planning application for a block of 18 apartments gets the go-ahead.
Cuisle Properties have applied to Wicklow County Council for a change of use of the Westbourne Hotel at 4-6 Westbourne Terrace, Quinnsboro Road, to residential units/apartments.
The application, if granted, will see the construction of three additional floors to the existing two-storey annexe and construction of first floor extension to the existing flat roof adjacent to Quinnsboro Road.
The building will house a mix of 18 one- and two-bed apartments with balconies and amenity space over car spaces at the rear, alterations and subdivision of existing restaurant on the ground floor to restaurant and shop unit with internal layout alterations. The application also states there will be new toilet facilities in the public bar.
A decision on the application is expected by September 7 with submissions due before August 17.
