Pedestrian bridge project in jeopardy

Published 05/12/2012 | 09:24

LACK OF approval from a landowner may throw the footpath and pedestrian bridge at Three Trout's in jeopardy.

Speaking at last week's meeting of Greystones Town Council Cllr. Chris Moloney wondered about the status of the project.

Town engineer Eoin Heslin said that a detailed design had been approved by consultants but final agreement from the landowner was still needed.

Mr. Heslin said that the money had been secured but the landowner was not happy with the plan.

Mr. Heslin said a new plan could end up costing a lot of money and the 'NTA is worried about money and want it (the project) reevaluated.

'It is in favour of the project And it will drop it if the cost is too high.'
