TWO FRIENDS of the late model Katy French from Enniskerry have pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to supply on the weekend she collapsed at their home.
Katy (24) died in hospital four days after slipping in to a coma at their Meath home in December 2007. Kieron Ducie (43) and Ann Corcoran (31), who were in a relationship at the time of Ms. French's death, will face sentencing next year at Trim Circuit Court.
They have admitted to the courts that they conspired with a man to possess cocaine for the purpose of sale or supply to another person at an unknown location between 6 p.m. on December 1 and 10 a.m. the next day.
A post-mortem examination revealed that Katie suffered brain damage. Traces of cocaine were found in her system.
The court heard that a second charge would not be pursued - that Ducie and Corcoran intentionally or recklessly engaged in conduct related to the supply of cocaine to Ms. French and failed to get medical assistance in a timely fashion, which created a substantial risk of death or serious harm to another.
