Local group delighted to achieve their ECDL

A group of local women were celebrating their success recently at an awards ceremony in Bray to present them with their European Computer Driving Licences.

The women had taken part in an ECDL training programme put on by Bray Area Partnership's ELLE project, which provides free training courses for women in the Bray area to help them get employment.

Other recent ELLE courses have included Exploring Your Options, CV Preparation and Interview Skills, Computer Literacy, and Women into Business.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Anne Ferris TD, Vice-Chair of the Oireachtas Justice, Defence and Equality Committee, congratulated the women on completing their ECDL, which she said was an important stepping stone towards employment, and wished them success in their future.

This is the fourth year the Partnership has secured this funding for the Bray area, and to date around 450 local women have taken part in ELLE training programmes. To find out more about ELLE and other training programmes run by the Partnership go to
