Keith who died on October 2 was the son of Doreen and the late Peter Murphy.

Originally from James Everett Park and later from the Boghall Road Keith will be remembered for his expertise and talent as a Martial Arts instructor with the Sinn Moo Hapkido club in Bray.

Over his many years there he acquired many accreditations before finally achieving his 4th Dan Black belt. He is quoted by the Grand Master of the Club as being the best 4th Dan in Ireland.

Keith moved to Morecambe four years ago and worked for a while there in his cousin's pub. He became a member of the Morecambe Christian Community Church and through them went on to study addiction services to become a counsellor.

Keith worked tirelessly and voluntarily in the centre they ran for the homeless and marginalised in the community. Having fought addiction himself Keith was a great mentor and friend to those seeking help and advice.

Keith will be sadly missed by his mother, Doreen, daughter Shannon, brothers, sisters and a wide circle of family and friends.
