A WEST WICKLOW native is flying high in Hollywood having secured a coveted role in a forthcoming Steven Spielberg movie.
Jack Reynor ( 20) from Humphreystown near Blessington became an overnight success earlier this year when he hit the big screen in the Lenny Abrahamson film 'What Richard Did'.
Loosely based on the fatal assault of Brian Murphy outside the Burlington Hotel in 2000 the film received critical acclaim and got Reynor noticed on the international stage.
Previous to this he made his acting debut in 'Country' directed by Kevin Liddy in 1999 which was his first taste of the industry. His time as a student in Belvedere College gave him ample on-stage opportunities and from there he was cast in Kirsten Sheridan's 'Dollhouse' which was debuted earlier this year. The Wicklow man's next challenge will see him take direction from movie legend Steven Spielberg in ' The Delivery Man' which also stars comedy heavyweight Vince Vaughan and popular Irish actor Simon Delaney.
Reynor is currently filming in the US and will return home for a time in December.
