Hundreds of mourners paid their final respects to the hugely popular Sean Madden in Greystones last Saturday morning.
Twenty-three-year-old Sean from Bray died in a single-vehicle car accident last Wednesday morning on the N11 at Loughlinstown.
The accident happened at around 9 a.m. and Sean was taken to St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The only son of Ray and Monica, Sean was described by his father Ray as a 'gentleman'. In a moving eulogy, Ray, supported by his wife Monica, said the couple were honoured to be Sean's parents. He said spoke of Sean's love for his sister Melissa, brother-in-law Jonathan and nephews Matthew and Toby.
'Sean was a gentleman, he was kind, loving and generous and so full of vitality. Love flowed from every part of his body. He had a beautiful, infectious smile and a special way about him.'
He said Sean was adored by his friends and family adding that 'he had so much love to give'. Ray said that Sean still has that love to give and urged people who were feeling sad or lonely to call on Sean for support.
He said that everyone had fond memories of Sean and brought a smile to the faces of the mourners when he recalled Sean's attention to detail when it came to his hair.
