Glynn family and their supporters raise €3,000
Team Gavin Glynn braved the cold weather for the New Year's Day swim and raised €3,000 for Greystones Cancer Support.
Kilcoole toddler Gavin Glynn has Rhabdomyosarcoma – a cancerous tumour of the muscles which attaches itself to the bones. The Glynn family has been amazed by the support provided to them by Greystones Cancer Support and wanted to help the group with their continued work.
Chairman Sonia Walsh said: 'We would like to thank the Glynn family and all their supporters who helped with your New Year's swim which raised €3,000. We know that times are difficult but because of your help, our group can continue its work.'
The cheque recipients, Greystones Cancer Support, have just launched a very attractive range of greeting cards for St Patrick's Day and Easter.
There are children's knitted hats in the Irish colours and Easter tea cosies in spring time colours decorated with knitted spring flowers.
These specially crafted items are a delight and a great way to send special greetings to family and friends. For information call 01 2871601.
