Coogan to launch Historical Society journal

IRELAND'S BEST known historical writer, Tim Pat Coogan, is set to officially Launch Roundwood Historical Society's latest Historical Journal on November 17.
Roundwood's rich and varied local history has once again been captured in the annual publication. The journal will provide a wealth of knowledge for those interested in the history of Roundwood area. Articles ranging from; Garech a Brún - Luggalaw & Roundwood, Our Local Heroes - Wicklow Olympians & Paralympians; Colonel Fiach O'Toole - The Eleven Years War & All That; Louis Le Broque, Family History Tips, and lots more that will give readers plenty historical food for thought.
Since its humble beginnings 25 years ago Roundwood Historical Society has been busy gathering, recording & disseminating information relating to the history & folklore of Roundwood and the uplands generally. Throughout this year the Society has successfully hosted a mix of interesting Historic lectures and outings, a popular heritage week event and even launched a brand new website. Cathal Mac Oireachtaigh, Secretary with the Society said 'we are delighted that Tim Pat will be launching our latest Journal and the evening will no doubt be one of highlights of our year. All are more than welcome to attend and Journals will be available to purchase on the night.'
