The event was held last Saturday at the Carlisle Grounds thanks to numerous past Bray Wanderers players who participated in the event including Tarzan O'Brien, who came off the bench and enjoyed 45 minutes of good football.

The game was a nail-biting affair, particularly for 'Old Boys' fans, who kept faith as their team came back from a one goal deficit to beat the current side 3-2 thanks to a thunderous shot scored from outside the box by Diarmuid Murphy which was his second of the game.

The event was very well attended and a fantastic €550 was raised for Crumlin Hospital where Gavin receives treatment.

Gavin regularly flies to Switzerland for Cancer treatment from a unique machine, not found anywhere else in the world.

The organisers of this event are hopeful of becoming annual as it was such a success. ' Thanks to everyone who came down and donated,' said spokesman Rob Baker.
