BAEC students host art exhibition
The annual Bray Adult Education Centre art, crafts, design and photography exhibition was held recently at the Putland Road facility.
It was a truly visual feast with the fruits of a year's labour displayed by the students at BAEC. They had created wonderful works of art in ceramics, painting, drawing, crafts and other media.
A spokesman for the centre said that the many attendees to enjoy the exhibition left a range of kind comments in the visitors' book which were 'a true reflection of the array of arts and crafts produced by this year's graduating students.'
Artist Lynda Cronin opened this year's four-day exhibition. Lynda delivered a powerful and encouraging speech to the graduates as they prepare to leave BAEC and pursue their individual endeavours.
During this year's show the students donated artwork to a raffle and sold postcards of their pieces all in aid of the W.H. Five Loaves homeless charity.
Bray Adult Education Centre offers a range of courses in art, computers, leaving cert, childcare and more. For more information go to www.baec.ie.
