The lucky winner of the €250,000 Lotto Plus 2 jackpot bought in Arklow over the weekend has yet to claim their prize.

The €6 winning ticket which had the numbers selected by the customer was purchased at Burke's Daybreak on Lower Main Street on Saturday.

A spokesperson for National Lottery confirmed that by Tuesday afternoon the winner had yet to come forward.

'We were very busy in here on Saturday so we couldn't even speculate as to who won it,' said Sinead Keogh of Burke's 'Nobody has a clue at this stage,' she added.

This is the second big winning ticket that Burke's shop has sold in recent months. The previous biggest prize won was €120,000 and it brings to six the total of large lotto wins the shop's customers have experienced since the Lotto started.
