The women have been knitting away week in week out to make children's hats for St. Patrick's Day and beautiful tea cosies for Easter which falls on April 20.

The crafty ladies will ensure that the children go along to the Greystones Parade in style and that the teapots of the town remain warm throughout breakfast at Easter.

The group also has special greeting cards for these two holidays.

'Why not remember family and friends in a special way,' said Kathleen Kelleher of Greystones Cancer Support. 'Everyone loves to receive a special handmade card, especially those living away from home on St. Patrick's Day.'

The items are available at Greystones Cancer Support and at Mrs. Bridie Mooney's shop. Three generations of the Mooney family gathered at the shop last week to promote the seasonal gifts.

The supremely gifted craft group will also knit garments to order and Mrs. Mooney will take orders. 'The quality is first class and the design is superb,' said Kathleen.

The active group of knitters and crochet fans hold sales throughout the year to raise money for the local cancer support centre.
