ONLY one Glencormac team in action last weekend as the weather dictated proceedings.

The U8s were supposed to face Ashford Rovers on Sunday morning but got word the fixture was cancelled an hour before kick-off. The 9s were at home to Ashford on Saturday and won 2-1. Missing a few key players, the glens started off well and went 1-0 up via a John Fox strike. They led at the break but Ashford levelled after the restart and some great saves by Dean Bradshaw kept them in it before John Fox got the ball on the halfway line and ran through a group of defenders to crack home the winning goal. He was best on the day along with Sam Morgan, Eoughan Giles, Sam Condron and Dean Bradshaw. The 12s were to face St. Antony's in Finn Park in Kilcoole Sunday but the fixture fell victim to the heavy rain Saturday night and it was called off.
