LOCAL choir Junior Musicals has recently recorded and will feature in both the audio and the music video for charity single Don't Walk Away written in aid of a sixyear-old cerebral palsy sufferer and The Nelson Mandela Children's fund.
The single is written and performed by South Africa-born singer Casey Leigh, who has been living in Ireland since she was seven. The song is produced by Pat Donne, who also happens to be the producer of Paddy Casey's album, which was certified double platinum.
Casey Leigh has performed on stages in Ireland, the UK and South Africa and has recorded music in Europe and Africa.
Casey is known for both her outstanding performances and her contribution to various charities and worthy causes around Ireland which include fundraisers for Cystic Fibrosis, Frances Black's The Rise Foundation, children suffering with Cerebral Palsy and many other worthy causes.
This song was written as part of the fundraising effort for Casey Fitzgerald.
Shortly after the completion of the song, Casey Leigh had her management contact the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund, to offer them the proceeds once the needs of Casey have been met.
The track is available now from iTunes.
