New app to support Bray shopping

Published 12/12/2012 | 15:50

BRAY SHOPPERS will be able to use their smartphones in the town to scan a code and enter the council's Christmas Shopping Stroll competition.

One lucky shopper will walk away with a Christmas gift worth €1000 when the draw is made on December 23.

By downloading the Bopzy app, customers can take part in the competition.

'Local retailers play a massive part in these celebrations so they really deserve our support,' said Cathaoirleach of Bray Town Council Mick Glynn. 'For every €1 you spend with a local independent business, between 50c-70c circulates back into our local economy. We have also introduced some free parking to encourage people to shop local this Christmas.'

After the promotional period, shoppers in Bray can continue to interact with their local stores by receiving great offers and coupons through the app.
