THE Junior A's travelled the short distance to Roundwood on Friday night last to face An Tochar with the prize, a place in the Wicklow Senior League next season edging ever so close.

On a bitter cold evening, a huge band of supporters were there to see their team take on their old foes An Tochar. Trailing 5 points to 3 nearing the interval, Shane Vickers struck with a vital goal to see Kilmac lead at the break. However, it looked like the lads might have thrown it all away late on until Stephen 'Moggy' Morgan saved the day with moments to spare with a point of gargantuan importance. This victory means the team have won every single one of their Division 2 encounters this season and it is now a case of when, rather than if, they win promotion to senior football next season. On a side note, the club would like to say a sincere thank you to An Tochar for their hospitality after the match which was much appreciated.

On separate issues off the playing fields, the club have announced some important dates for your diary worth taking note of.

On Friday 16th November, the annual mass for the deceased members of the club will take place. Then, on Friday 30th November, the club will stage their AGM from 7-30pm. A big attendance at both events is expected. Finally, everybody at Kilmacanogue Gaa club would like to wish Tony Driver a full and speedy recovery from his recent accident. Tony and his family have been great servants to the club over the years and everybody is wishing him well.
