WHILE Lent is now in full swing for those who tend to give something up, last week it was time to indulge and raise money for charity.
It was Pancake Tuesday and the Martello got flipping to raise funds for Bray Cancer Support Centre.
Anyone who went their for their annual treat with toppings paid just €5 for a pancake and cuppa with proceeds going to the local cancer charity.
'We were stuffed,' said a spokesman for Bray Cancer Support. 'Thank you to everyone who supported a great morning. Thanks also to John Duggan and all his staff for another wonderful event.'
The service is located on Bray's Parnell Road and provides a range of services for those suffering from cancer and their families, as well as people who are bereaved.
