ACTIVE RETIREES: The Monthly Chat and Chew get together of Enniskerry people is on this morning in the Community Hall on the Bray Road.

As usual there will be a special guest and the Morning Cuppa for one and all who just need to drop in. The sudden arrival of severe weather will need people to check on their elderly neigbhours' well being. SCOR

As part of the GAA program Scor na nOg and Senior score returns to Enniskerry GAA Club, this Social and Irish event has been very entertaining in the past for Club Members and others in the past with Leinster Titles won. The club are looking for young people under 17 to take part in Scor na nOg with ability to sing,dance, act, question time (quiz ) recite more info from any committee member or Club website. The same events are for adults too, the fun and entertainment value has been great for the Enniskerry community in the past getting people together. PAR 3 GOLF

The weather rarely upsets the hardy members of Enniskerry Par 3 golfers who are playing for the Big Bird every Sunday for the Christmas Dinner. WALKERS

Enniskerry Walkers are out again this Saturday 10th November starting out from Windsors Spar opposite the Town Clock in the Village at 1.30pm or 1.50pm on the road to Roundwood Please note no dogs allowed. Services of Worship - Powerscourt: Tomorrow (Thursday) - 9.45am Holy Communion & Prayer for the Sick; Sunday - The 3rd Sunday before Advent - 8.30am Holy Communion (said); and 11.30am Remembrance Service.

'Sizzle' Service: The November ' Sizzle ' Service takes place in Powerscourt Church on Sunday November 18th at 5pm when the Junior and Teen Gospel Choir will lead the music.

Services of Worship - Kilbride: Sunday - The 3rd Sunday before Advent - 10am Remembrance Service.

Wine & Cheese/Raffle: This takes place on Friday night in Powerscourt National School in aid of Kilbride Church.

Alpha Course 2: This commences tonight (Wednesday) at 8pm in Powerscourt School Hall where it will take place for 5 successive Wednesdays. MISSIONARY SALE

This takes place on Saturday in the Parochial Hall from 11am to 3pm. Stalls include Cakes/ Deli, Toys, Books, Bric-aBrac, Plants, Raffle and Teas. The proceeds of this sale is added to our missions and charities allocation for the year and distributed before Christmas. The parish aims to tithe its income from direct giving to mission and charity each year, adding the missionary sale proceeds and our contributions for the Bishop Appeal to this amount . Tomorrow night (Thursday) the November meeting of the Enniskerry History Society takes place at 8.30pm in the Powerscourt Arms Hotel when Liam Clare from the Foxrock Local History Club will present his lecture on ' Victorian Bray. As part of a reorganisation of weekday Mass times within the Bray & Enniskerry pastoral area, from December 3rd Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Enniskerry, at 10.15am Monday to Saturday.
