The Cure of Vittorio Micheli in Lourdes 1963 (Sarcoma of the Pelvis) 63rd Miracle of Lourdes:Vittorio Micheli will give his testimony on his miraculous cure in St Fergal's Parish Church on Monday 19th May at 7pm. There will also be a talk and slideshow given by Cardiologist Mario Botta. All are welcome.

QOP YOUTH CLUB
Thirty members and leaders of the Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club set off into the Wicklow hills at 6.30 pm. When the destination was reached they set up shelters, and unpacked their food. A sizzle of sausages, rashers, and eggs was enjoyed. After the feast at around midnight they were returned home for a good night's rest.
The leaders were Paul, Colin, Ronan, John, and Louis. On May 6 water sports will begin which will include canoeing, snorkelling, body boarding, and coasteering. New leaders are needed, for which a training and induction course is being prepared. For details call Albert on 0876756439. He would be very glad to get your call.
Congratulations to John McNulty of East Coast Adventurers on the acquisition of the Irish Underwater Council Snorkel Guide Certificate. Testers were Martina McCarthy National Snorkelling Officer, and Snorkel Instructors Gearoid McCarthy, and Fidelma O'Carroll. John is the first person in our area to gain this qualification, and he will be helping to train others for the same. East coast Adventurers will now offer snorkelling along with various other land and sea sports. Efforts are ongoing to have a local area designated as a Blue Way for canoeing, and snorkelling which will give a greater appreciation of our East coast.
The anxiety and panic support group meet on Wednesday evenings in the Ballywaltrim Community Centre at 7.30 until 9.30pm. The Thursday May 15th meeting of the Bray Cualann Historical Society, the local history society for Bray and North Wicklow, meeting will be held in Bray Methodist Church, Florence Road, Bray, and all members and supporters of the Society are asked to note this change in venue.
To mark the 150th Anniversary of the Methodist Church in Bray, the Methodist Community of Bray and the Bray Cualann Historical Society will hold a special talk by Rev. Dudley A. Levistone Cooney, Methodist Historian, immediate past President of the Old Dublin Society and currently one of it's Vice-Presidents, on ' A History of Methodism in Bray & North Wicklow ' at 8pm, All welcome to attend - admission free but a voluntary donation is requested.

Tomorrow night (Thursday) the May meeting of the Enniskerry History Society takes place at 8.30pm on in the Powerscourt Arms at which local historian James Scannell, Vice-Chairman and PRO of the Bray Cualann Historical Society, will present his lecture ' Enniskerry in 1914 ' in which he will recall some of the events happening in Enniskerry that year prior to the outbreak of the First World War before life as everyone knew it changed dramatically.
This is the final lecture in the Enniskerry History Society's Spring programme. All welcome - admission €4.

COMMUNITY THRIFT SHOP
The shop is open from Monday to Saturday from 10.30 to 5.30 p.m. We sell everything from clothes for all the family, books, bric a brac and toys. We can't accept electrical items and we ask that people donate only good quality items which are suitable for resale. Each month we make a donation to a local group or charity.
This month our donation is to The Caroline Foundation, in aid of Cancer Clinical Research of Trust (CCRT).

Parish Pilgrimage to Knock: This will take place on Saturday June 7th - The Feast of Our Lady Queen of Apostles. The cost is €20 - Tea / Coffee and scone included. There was a very large attendance last Saturday morning at the the May First Saturday Book Sale, which supports the Shankill Old Folks Association and Meals on Wheels , which took place between 10am and 1 pm in the Shankill Old Folks Day Centre, Lower Road, Shankill, As always there was an excellent array of books , both fiction and non-fiction, to choose from at bargain prices.
The June First Saturday Book Sale will take place in the same venue between 10am and 1pm ob Saturday June 7th , so make a point of calling in as you never know what you may find. All welcome. Donations of books, other than school/text books, appreciated and accept on the day.
