The company chose the Bray cause, as well as Barnardos and ISPCC, for its July charity month.

Every second month staff members choose charities to support and for the duration of that month ten per cent of the cost of placing an ad with DoneDeal goes to those causes.

'We rely on 75 per cent of our funding from fundraising and donations,' said Conor O'Leary, Outreach Coordinator for Bray Cancer Support.

'This donation from DoneDeal.ie is very important to us and for our work in supporting people affected by cancer.

'These funds will be used to provide a range of services such as counselling and support programme for children and families affected by cancer in the Wicklow and Dublin areas.'

Agnes Swaby, DoneDeal Marketing Manager said that each organisation provides an invaluable service.

'We are very proud to support them in any way.'
