Changes to Weekday Mass Times in the Bray Bastoral Area from December: From Monday December 3rd, the daily mourning Masses Monday to Saturday will be at the following times - St. Fergal's, Ballywaltrim - 9.30am; Holy Redeemer - 10am; St. Mary's Enniskerry - 10.15am; Our Lady Queen of Peace - 10.30am; St. Peter's, Little Bray - 11am.
We understand that change can be difficult and will require some adjustment. However we ask for your understanding as we continue to explore with the Parish Pastoral Councils how best we can serve you, the people of the Pastoral Area, into the future - Fr. Larry Behan, Moderator.
Catholicism Course - 6th Session: Tonight (Wednesday) the 10-week programme on Catholicism continues in St. Fergal's from 7.45pm to 9pm. This is a DVD series filmed in 50 locations throughout 15 countries illustrating the history & practices of the global church. With creator and host Fr. Robert Barron, participants will learn what Catholics believe and why, while being immersed in the art, architecture, literature, beliefs and practices of the Catholic tradition. No charge. Donation to the parish accepted. All are welcome. The topic tonight (Wednesday) will be ' The Indispensable Men: Peter, Paul and the Missionary Adventure.'
Annual Garda Siochana Mass: The annual Mass for deceased members of An Garda Siochana will be celebrated in St. Peter's Church, Little Bray, at 3pm on Saturday November 14th.
Christmas by Candlelight: Bray Local Tenor Ross Scanlon will return for one night only to St. Fergal's Church on Friday December 14th .Tickets €15 / Concessions €12. For Bookings call 086-199 6914 or 087-677 9091.
Parish Day Trip: Christmas shopping in Galway on Saturday December 1st. Cost €42. Coach departs from St. Fergal's at 9am; Tea/ Coffee & scones in the Carlton Shearwater Hotel, Ballinasloe; guided tour of Galway City with free time for shopping; Dinner in the Carlton Shearwater Hotel at approximately 7pm, departing at approximately at 9pm. Please book in the Parish Office - deposit of €20 required.
Rescheduled Proposed Parish Trip 2013 Meeting: Called the Splendours of Sicily based in Giardini Naxos - 7 nights accommodation in Naxos Beach Hotel on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis; including two day and one half day excursions. Leaflets are available at the back of Church. Cost is €995 per person sharing. A previously advertised planned meeting for Monday November 5th has been rescheduled for Monday November 19th at 7pm in the Church at which a representative from Map Travel will speak, provide further information on the trip and answer questions you may have. Please book at the Parish Office and collect a booking form. Leaflets with details are available at the back of the church.
Catholic Youth Care: This weekend the annual collection for Catholic Youth Care, the Dublin Diocesan Youth Service) will be taken up at all the Masses and will replace the normal Share Collection. Catholic Youth Care supports and services youth work and youth ministry throughout the Dublin Diocese and through its various services and programmes to young people and youth groups, reaches out to many of the most marginalized youth people in the Archdiocese.
