Quality continues to make the money in the ring

Ewe Lambs

Ewe Lambs sold from €95 for the plainer lighter lambs up to a tops of €164 while the majority of ewe lambs weighting between 42 and 48Kg sold from €105 to €130.

Cheviot Ewe Lambs

Sold very well with a brisk trade ranging from €98 to €142 with the majority between €105 and €120 per head.

Hogget Ewes

With just over 1000 hoggets sold, good quality strong hoggets were a booming trade with a tops of €202 per head with majority in this class selling from €155 to €180, the lighter hoggets also sold well ranging from €130 to €150 per head with lots of farmers to buy.

Cheviot Hoggets

Numbers were tight with customers than hoggets, selling up to a tops of €192 with majority between €150 and €175.

Cheviot Aged Ewes

Sold from €75 for aged ewes up to tops of €110 for 3&4 yr old ewes.
