A day for the jammies!

WHO wouldn't want to spend the day in their jammies?
That is just what the children at Cuala Montessori did last Friday when they took part in 'National Pyjama Day' 2014.
The children and staff were sponsored to wear their night clothes in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation homecare for children programme.
Over €200,000 was raised nationally by the initiative last year. 'They thought it was absolutely brilliant,' said a staff member at Cuala. Relaxation was the name of the game on the day, and the children had no difficulty in taking part!
The money helps to provide essential funding to support families with terminally ill children with nursing care so that their child can die at home surrounded by family, friends and familiar things. Money raised by National Pyjama Day has helped to fund five regional pyjama day nurses so far.
'We have a wide programme for children facing the end of their lives, which reaches out to families in their own homes,' said Sharon Foley, CEO of the Irish Hospice Founcation.
