His initial training began in 2009 under the tutelage of Lindsay Ahern at the Wicklow School of Music. He then entered competitions in Arklow and Kilcoole in order to build upon this training and gain experience as a performer. In 2010, he placed third in the adult solo competition in Kilcoole.
He went on to become involved in choral societies and train with Deirdre Masterson. He has appeared as Bogdanovich in 'The Merry Widow,' and has appeared at the Wexford Opera House.
