Students get ready for the first BIFE Arts Festival

Bray Institute of Further Education is to present its first BIFE Arts Festival.

Throughout the month of March there will be a series of performances and seminars for the public to enjoy the skill of the talented students.

Acting students will present a production of Jane Eyre at the Mermaid, while Dance and Film students will present their graduate showcases.

In addition, BIFE will host a number of seminars on employment opportunities in film, acting, dance and computer gaming as well as in DJ skills and music technology.

'Radio BIFE' will run from March 3 to 7 with the students trying their hand at broadcasting on Notch FM.

Jane Eyre will get underway at the Mermaid on Tuesday March 4 for a four night run with a matinee on the Thursday.

'Escape to Dance' the graduation performance will be on at the Mermaid on Thursday March 20.

Graduating film students will show their work in 'ShortCuts' at the theatre on Wednesday March 26.

Bife Music Centre's Feis will be on at the Novara Avenue premises on Sunday March 30.

The first of the seminars on March 8 is TV and Film with a series of workshops and talks. Speakers include editor Tony Kearns and director Michael McCudden.
