IT'S been 10 years, and Bray-based ladies' barbershop chorus 'Serendipity' are still making beautiful music together.
They celebrated their decade last week with a get-together at the Park View in Newtown.
The chorus is directed by Pauline Edmondson and their 30 ladies meet up every week to sing in the barbershop style.
They have become regulars at performing over the years, with venues including the Mermaid & Meridian theatres, Trinity College and Farmleigh to name a few.
As members of the Irish Association of Barbershop Singers (IABS) they also take part in the annual convention, where they compete against other national and international choruses.
'It's a fun weekend, with an opportunity to meet other female and male choruses,' said a group representative.
The next convention will be in Ennis from October 3 to 5. 'We find these competitions an invaluable way of improving our performances, whilst listening to and socialising with our fellow Barbershop singers from throughout Ireland and around the world.'
During the spring they attend boot camp in Ennis where they learn and perform a new song in one day alongside other choruses and where guest coaches help them to fine tune their singing.
Serendipity is always open to new members. If you think you would like to try singing in harmony go and join in on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. at the Martello.
