Music and dance at historic house
THERE was music and dancing at Killruddery House & Gardens last weekend for a farmers' market with a twist.
As well as the usual array of stalls including crafts, artisan foods, and Wicklow Homeless Five Loaves, there was trad, world music and more.
A group of folk dancers from Delbrueck in Germany provided a wonderful display of their skills, as did a troupe of Irish dancers.
Singer Madeleine Fadden gave a performance of traditional sean nós singing, while elsewhere there was traditional Irish music for all to enjoy.
The sun was shining all day for the October market, with preparations already underway for the forthcoming Christmas event.
