Jazz and blues at Hot Spot

Riche Buckley and Nigel Mooney will perform at the Hot Spot Music Club in Greystones on Friday, June 16.

The name Buckley has dominated the world of Jazz both nationally and internationally for decades and Richie Buckley is probably the most famous, having played sax for such luminaries as Van Morrison.

Richie, plus Wicklow resident, Nigel Mooney, favoured guitar player of the great Georgie Fame, are teaming up for a blistering evening.. The team includes Richie's cousin Hugh Buckley on guitar and Myles Drennan on keyboards.

Myles hails from an equally illustrious family music dynasty - his father was pianist, Tony Drennan & his brother is renowned guitarist, Anto.

On bass is the great Dave Fleming and, the jazz musician's choice of drummer - Dominic Mullen - on drums.
