Culture night in Greystones was celebrated at the Beach House at the Harbour with the Carroll Doyle School of Irish Dancing.

A number of talented singers and musicians also came along to the event in Greystones.

Cllr. Kathleen Kelleher was at the event and said that the dancers were a real treat. 'Their skills kept everyone spellbound with their superb footwork,' said Kathleen.

The evening ended with a 'sessiún' of singing and music.

There were traditional tunes played on the fiddle and tin whistle, traditional bones to help keep the beat, soloists with old Irish airs and everyone joining in, either with a song of their own or just adding their voice to the chorus.

Other creative events around the town included demonstrations on growing your own fruit & veg by Greystones Community Garden; a Brazilian drumming workshop at Shoreline Leisure Centre; Greystones Orchestra and An Evening with Christy Kenneally and Linda Finnegan at Greystones Library; music at the Hot Spot Café and more.
