CLOVERHILL: Promising 13-year-old Gareth Kilgallon flagged for a promising season from the outset in the senior ranks and was not long in vindicating that promise with a terrific return of 47 points to comfortably take the Easter weekend singles stableford competition.
Seniors member Joe Hazzard was second with 44 points, with Thomas Grant third (42 points).
Next weekend sees the SK Windows April Medal take place, with play either Saturday or Sunday.
It's that time of the year when the inter-club activity begins and matches come hot and heavy. First into action is Frank Ryan's Ulster Fourball team who travel to Armagh to take on the locals in the first leg.
The Rossmore Cup team under team Captain Seamus Mcparland will be playing against Loughgall. The Junior Cowdy team have drawn holders Mannan Castle and Jim Mckay's Ulster Cup side face a long journey to Buncrana to take on North West.
On top of this there will be club teams out each Sunday in May in one-day qualifiers for the Jimmy Bruen, Pierce Purcell, Senior and Junior Cup.

Killinbeg defeated Ardee 3-2 in the Leinster Fourball. Killinbeg had rwo games at home and three away. The home team were Caoimhin O Callaghan, Chris O'hanlon, Benny O'shaughnessy and Pat Cunningham. The away team were John White, David Cairns, Donal Mathews, Arthur Mulholland, Pat Mcgee and Peter Sloan.

The Easter Lamb competition, kindly sponsored by Barry's Craft Butcher in Blackrock, was played on Saturday 31st March and Tuesday 3rd April.
