Vital win for Na Piarsaigh

NA PIARSAIGH came into this game knowing that a win was required in their quest to escape from the relegation zone and they achieved just that thanks to a decisive six point win over a determined Hunterstown team.

Na Piarsaigh started well with a David Boyle point in the opening minute. However a determined effort by the visitors meant that the hosts were two points in arrears and struggling after 17 minutes.

A purple patch in the final 5 minutes of the half, culminating in a well taken goal from midfielder Gary O'Hare, swung the match back in Na Piarsaigh's favour and it left them leading at half-time, 1-9 to 0-5.

Despite Na Piarsaigh kicking 12 wides in the second half they managed to keep Hunterstown at bay.
