Roche Emmets GFC enter Guinness Book of Records

Official certification that Roche Emmets GFC have earned a place in the Guinness Book of Records was presented to club chairman Simon Allen by Gavin Duffy of 'Dragon's Den' fame at the launch of their 'Strictly Come Dancing' in the Lisdoo last Friday.
Last summer, over 1,000 club members, underage and senior players, parents, friends and supporters gathered in Pairc Roiste to break the record for the most people gathered on a Gaelic pitch for a training session.
Now, they've got official confirmation that their efforts on June 16, resulting in them setting a new record.
Friday also saw the launch of the club's 'Strictly Come Dancing' which takes place in the Fairways Hotel on Friday, February 14. Eighteen pairs of dancers have signed up to put their best foot forward for the Valentine's night event. They will be busy practising their steps and selling tickets between then and now.
