THE Athletics Louth Senior team travelled to Sligo for round two of the National League last weekend.
Dundealgan A.C's Samuel Fasan was part of the team which qualified for the final of the League which will take place in Tullamore in August.
Samuel finished third in both the Men's 200m and Long Jump, and was part of the 4x100m relay team and continued his success at the Louth Senior, Junior and Masters Championships at the Lourdes Stadium.
Competing as a Junior, he claimed three individual gold medals, winning the 100m, 200m and Long Jump, with a personal best jump of 6.20m. He completed the evening by winning a bronze medal with his third place in Shot Putt.
Tawan Wannamahin returned to the track after a lay-off due to exams, and collected a silver medal when placing second in the Junior Mens Long Jump.
He just finished outside the medals with a fourth place in the Junior 100m.
Dundealgan A.C.'s other gold medal came from Gerry McArdle, who crossed the line in first place in the Mens Masters 100m.
To complete a busy week, Shadam Azzez was a member of the Louth Under 17, 4x100m relay team which finished in third place in the National Juvenile Championships at Tullamore on Saturday.
On the final day of the Championships, Samuel Fasan added another medal to his collection when he was placed third in the Under 19 Long Jump, and claimed the bronze, his first national medal.
He went on the qualify for the Under 19 200m finals, as did Shadam Azzez in the Under 16, 200m.
Both Samuel and Shadam ran excellent races but finished just outside the medals.
