The claimer opened his tally when John Carr's Atlas Peak took the first division of the Crowne Plaza Trainer & Jockey Championship Handicap, and things got better when Paul Flynn's La Oliva short-headed favourite First Friday in a desperately close finish to the Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Hotel Handicap.

The treble came up in the final race when Hoban arrived with a wet sail on the Matthew Smith-trained Gretzky (10-1) to snatch the Winter Racing At Dundalk Handicap by a length and a quarter going away.

Mick Halford is heading off to Dubai to saddle runners next week and he signed off with a double thanks to the Shane Foley-ridden pair Senyuman and Alvar.

Foley produced Senyuman (41) through a tight gap a furlong out in the Follow Dundalk On Facebook Handicap and the three-year-old ran on well to beat Relay by a length and a half.

The brace arrived when 7-4 favourite Alvar collared Hootie a quarter of a mile out in the second division of the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Handicap and then held off Black N Brew by a length, with the rest well behind.

Kevin Manning flew back from Dubai, where he was in action at Meydan on Thursday, to record a victory on Golden Shoe in the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap for trainer Jim Gorman. The five-year-old (7-1), who always held a prominent position, led over a furlong out and forged clear to beat Suehail by a length and a half.

Enigma Code, three times a winner in earlier forays to the County Louth track, returned from a layoff of nearly a year to take the Floodlit Friday Nights At Dundalk Rated Race.

Now trained by Claire Simpson, who was recording her first success, the eight-year-old (141) got a lovely run up the rail and led a furlong out to beat Fol Hollow by a length and threequarters in the hands of Andrew Thornton.

The Dundalk Stadium Light Up Your Night Maiden didn't look as though it would take a great deal of winning and David Marnane's Sword of Light landed a convincing win under Fergal Lynch.
