Hoops wins the Raghs against time
O Raghallaigh's 3-14 Dreadnots 4-6
O RAGHALLAIGH'S produced a second half of skill, commitment and team work to turn an eight-point half-time deficit into a five-point victory.
The large attendance witnessed an excellent game, with superb point-scoring from the Raghs forward line of Ewan Sweeney, Conor O'Neill and Ben Moonan. Dylan Curran on the square was a handful for the Dreadnots full back on every high ball.
Midfield was dominated by Ciaran Finnegan-Moonan and Adam Boyle, their hard-won possession forcing constant pressure on the Dreadnots defenders. Both midfielders added three points each as they powered the Raghs forward, while great handling and kickouts from keeper Dillon Lynch gave confidence to his teammates.
In defence, the excellent work of team captain Conor Vaughey, Nathan Cassidy and JJ Clutterbuck limited the scoring options for Dreadnots' forwards, while the Man of the Match was Michael Connolly who was magnificent and the subs also played a vital role in the comeback.
