Geraldines GFC are hosting a major fundraising event at Dundalk Stadium to coincide with greyhound racing on Saturday, November 2.

The 'Geraldine's Night at the Dogs' is to raise much-needed funds for the ongoing development of the club and Dundalk Stadium is an ideal platform for this fundraising activity offering people a cracking night out and plenty of action on and off the course.

The 'Night at the Dogs' fundraiser will feature 12 quality greyhound races and the club is seeking individuals and businesses to come on board and support the club through the many different elements one can choose from.

Stephen Thornton, event coordinator said 'The club are acutely aware of the financial demands on individuals and businesses in the current economic climate, therefore, in order to ensure that the event is a success for the club financially, there are number of options for people to support – race sponsorship, advertising in the race card or purchase a ticket for the night. To ensure the night itself is a success there will be live greyhound racing with live music from the Long Riders until the wee hours, so get your dancing shoes on and down to Dundalk Stadium.'

The Geraldine's club provides playing facilities for underage boys and girls free of charge. Unfortunately the day to day cost of operating a club of its size is escalating at a rapid pace and the club has no choice other than to fundraise on a regular basis to ensure that the facilities are retained.

For more information or to get involved, contact Paula Hand on (087) 9106658 or Stephen Thornton on (086) 8061646.
