WESTERNS continued their good run of form when they scored their fourth win of the league campaign at home to Wolfe Tones on Friday night.
A revitalised Westerns were straight out of the traps and opened the scoring just two minutes into the game through Aidan McGarrell. He then followed it with another fine point over the bar and the Westerns continued with a fine goal from Andrew Kerr.
Tommy Durnin rounded off the Westerns pressure with a free kick before Wolfe Tones rallied with three unanswered points. However, the Reaghstown men finished the half on top and went in leading by 1-6 to 0-3.
The Westerns put the issue beyond doubt in the third quarter when both Aidan McGarrell and Seamus Peppard hit the net.
The Tones hit back in the closing stages with four points but the game was beyond them at that stage.
