The tournament, which pitted the Philipstown side against Fechin's, Naomh Moninne and Knockbridge, was their first at this level and ironically their first game was against the Termonfeckin outfit who eventually prevailed by 3-2 to 0-1.

St Kevin's played with a lot more heart and passion in their second game against Moninne, winning the game by a few points, and next up Knockbridge were dispatched.

St Kevin's had to play at their very best to have a chances of success in the decider, but it was St Fechin's who pulled away in the second half to record a comfortable victory.
