NA PIARSAIGH confirmed their place in Division 2 for next season thanks to a comprehensive win over already relegated Naomh Malachi at the Rock Road on Sunday afternoon.

The teams traded scores over the early part of the game and the sides were level at 3 points each after eight minutes. However driven on by midfielder John Garvey the home side began to assert themselves on proceedings and a goal each by Gerard Smith and Mark Larkin in the 14th and 15th minute set Na Piarsaigh up for an interval lead of 2-9 to 0-5.

A goal from Larkin and three points within the first four minutes of the second half killed of the Malachis challenge and Na Piarsaigh finished off the current season with a victory.
