Kelly below par in All-Ireland semi-final loss

IN a well below par performance Louth handball stalwart Charlie Kelly suffered a shock defeat in the Emerald Masters 40x20 singles All-Ireland semi finals at the Eugene Quinns Handball club Armagh last week.

The Millmount clubman's brilliant form of late was clearly absent throughout the match, as right from the start a determined Quinn took control making it hard for Kelly to settle.

As the game progressed the Louth man struggled to keep up with the pace and as Quinn upped the intensity further he went on to win out 21-4, 21-6.

Millmount Handball Club's juvenile handball coaching for boys and girls continues at Coke Community Hall Industrial Estate every Friday from 6.30 to 7.30 with fully certified level one handball coaches. All newcomers can register at reception.
