'Hill too hot for Mitchel's

DOWDALLSHILL recorded their second league win of the campaign to move above John Mitchels in the table after this encounter in St Brigid's Park.

The Dundalk men have been showing some improved form of late and they were on top in the first half which ended in them leading by 1-7 to 0-4 thanks to a Ciararn Sheridan goal.

The home side retained control in the second half and they sealed the win thanks to a well-taken goal from Paul Gill.

Best for the winners were James Everard, Vincent Roe, David Crave, Paul Gill and Noel Finnegan.
