Glens leave it late to get over the 'Hill

FOR the second successive game, Glen Emmets left it late before securing another victory in the Division 3 league.

The game in Cusack Park on Friday night saw the home side leading by just a point with eight minutes remaining before a goal from Mark Noone finally saw off a brave Dowdallshill challenge.

The Tullyallen men were in good form in the first half and looked to be in control when they led by 0-6 to 0-1 near the end of the first half. However, Dowdallshill pulled back a point before Noel Finnegan blasted at 14m free to the net to leave his side trailing by just 0-6 to 1-2 at the break.

The teams shared four points in the opening 22 minutes of the second half to leave the Emmets 0-8 to 1-4 ahead, but a goal and point inside the 24th minute from Mark Noone gave his side the victory.
