DREADNOTS made sure of their Division 1 survival thanks to a comfortable win over the already relegated Oliver Plunketts.

The Clogherhead side wasted no time in putting the issue beyond doubt as goals in the opening three minutes from Anthony Williams and Pepe Smith had them well in control.

Before the break they added two more goals from Smith and Conor Campbell to take a commanding 4-8 to no score lead into half time.

The Plunketts competed better in the second and managed to tag on four points but Richard Kirwan added a fifth goal to complete the victory and seal a disappointing season for the Mell side.
