Clans are back on track

CLAN NA GAEL made it two wins in a week when they proved too strong for Hunterstown Rovers in this back fixture on Thursday night.

The Dundalk men recovered from a poor opening half to turn in an impressive second half display and come out on top by eight points.

In a lively opening period the teams shared the first six points before Hunterstown got on top and a well-taken goal helped them lead by 1-6 to 0-4 at the break.

The switching of Billy Smith to midfield for the second half helped the Clans turn things around and the dominated the final 30 minutes.

Mark Newell grabbed the all-important goal while points from Conall McKeever and Drew Duffy saw their side clinch the win.
