There was no winner of the jackpot at Lotto Christmas Draw. The winning numbers were 7, 9, 10 and 23. The €100 winners were:

The Lotto returns on Tuesday night January 8 with a jackpot of €7,600.


Numbers drawn in the final lotto of 2012 were 3, 4, 13, 24 and the weekly winners were Alan Kelly, Claire Dunne, Derek Devlin and John Bellew.

The jackpot for this Wednesday's draw will be €13,200 and envelopes can be purchased from any committee member or from local shops.

Membership for 2013 is now due and can be paid to any committee member.


Numbers drawn in the club lotto on December 19th were 12, 13, 21, 25 and the €200 matchthree winner was David Sharkey, Tullydonnell, while the festive prizes went to Eileen Moynagh (meat voucher), Joe Sharkey (cake & bottle of spirits) and Seamus Darby (biscuits).

The next drawn will be held on January 16th.


The AGM will take place on Sunday afternoon, January 6, in the Dowdallshill GFC Clubrooms on the Newry Road at 6.30pm. All nominations must be sent to the club secretary Josephine Maguire prior to the start of the meeting. 2013 Membership will also be taken at the meeting.

The club are still looking for Field Heros to contribute 5 euro a month to their new field development fund. Details can be obtained from any committee members.


The 2013 football season starts off this Sunday at the County Grounds where Louth play hosts to UCD in the O'Byrne Cup, with throw-in at 2pm. This will be the Louth team's first competitive outing under new manager Aidan O' Rourke and with new sponsors Morgan Fuels. UCD have seven intercounty players on their panel, so this game will be a serious test for the Louth team.

Juvenile Handball training resumes on Thursday 10th January from 6 to 7pm for over-12s, and Friday 11th January from 6 to 7pm for under-12s. New members at all ages are always welcome and top-quality coaching available. For club handball information contact Stuart Heslin at 086-1709268.

Club Gaelach (Irish Club) starts for 2013 on Wednesday 9th January in the clubhouse. These popular classes are held each Wednesday from 8 until 9pm at €2 per class - all welcome. For further information contact club cultural officer Suzanne Markey at 085-1685214.

Adult Ceile classes for fun and fitness continue in the clubhouse every Tuesday evening from 8 to 9. For information contact David Moore at 086-4405950. Anyone that enjoys a bit of craic is welcome to come along and bang the boards.

This week's club lotto jackpot will be €4,600. Last week's winning numbers were 3, 5, 16, 18 and the match-three number winners were Mary Byrne, Marie Faulkner, Noel Kelly and Milly & Mary Coyle. Lotto entries cost €2 and are available in the clubhouse.

Entertainment in clubhouse this Saturday is 'Linda and Paul'. The clubhouse is available to book for any occasion. Finally, as the O Raghallaigh's move into their 56th consecutive year, we are delighted to have received a grant for €55,000. This money will be spent installing a replacement sports floor and heating system to upgrade the main hall.

There was no jackpot winner in the last lotto draw of 2012, but there were five players who matched three numbers to win €40 each and the main prize now stands at €3,100.

A Juvenile meeting will take place this Friday at 8pm in the clubrooms. All parents of juveniles who play with the club or wish to play with the club in the future are urged to attend.

There will be an New Year's Eve Ceili in the clubrooms on Monday 31st December from 10pm-1am. Music by Sturgaen Brae, admission €10 and all are welcome.

St Patrick's GFC wishes all its members, supporters and benefactors a very happy Christmas and prosperous 2013.

Jigs and Reels Dance training re-commences on Monday 7 January at 8pm and Wednesday 9 January at 7pm, continuing every Monday and Wednesday until the big night on March 17th.


The club held a well-attended AGM in Reaghstown on Friday 14. Before the officers and committee were elected a minutes silence was held for deceased members.
