A JUDGE has warned a Dundalk woman not to steal again after she was caught putting items into a bag in a supermarket and not paying for them.

Viola Nepomucem, (52), Whitethorn House, Ravensdale, put two items into her trolley which she paid for at Dunnes Stores, Marshes Shopping Centre on April 3 but placed around €87 worth of items into a bag on the trolley and left without paying for them.

The property was recovered and Judge Flann Brennan was told that Nepomucem had been given an adult caution for a similar offence the previous year.

Solicitor Brendan Walsh said his client had made a 'full and frank admission' and handed in a letter from her GP 'indicating her mindset at the time'.

The solicitor said that Nepomucem had undergone treatment and asked Judge Brennan to 'leave her reputation unblemished'.

Judge Brennan dismissed the case under the probation act but warned the defendant: 'There is to be no repetition'.
