THE LONG wait for Dundalk's music fans is almost over as The Spirit Store is set to re-open after extensive rennovations next week.
The first concert featuring Damien Dempsey is sold out as are many others on what is a stellar list of acts from Ireland and further afield.
Manager Derek Turner reports that new acts are still being added to the line-up for the coming months, the latest being the British folk band The Unthanks whose fans include Radiohead, Portishead, Robert Wyatt, Ben Folds, Elvis Costello, Rosanne Cash, Ewan McGregor and Nick Hornby.
They are playing the Spirit Store on February 27th.
The legendary Irish folk singer Andy Irvine will be performing on Saturday, January 12.
Meanwhile, tickets are selling fast for one of the highlights of the festive season - Gerry O'Connor and Friends' annual concert on Sunday, December 23, as well as Brian Kennedy, Pat Coldrick, Delorentos, Paddy Casey and Mick Flannery over the coming months.
