TIMMY, A four month old ginger kitten, may have lost one of her lives already but she's set to spent the rest of them in a loving home after being nursed back to health at the Avenue Veterinary Hospital.

' She was knocked down by a car but luckily a girl driving behind saw what happened, stopped her car, scooped up the kitten and brought her in here,' said veterinary nurse Kiera Dullaghan.

Timmy, so named because it was thought she was a male at first, suffered trauma injuries and her eyesight has also being impaired.

Happily, she has made a full recovery and is due to be homed after appearing on the clinic's Facebook page.

However, there are lots of other kittens and a couple of adult cats looking for their forever homes.

'If people are thinking of getting a cat or kitten for Christmas, they should think of rehoming one,' said Kiera.
