IT WAS a 'spur of the moment' recording that has gone viral from Western Australia for Dundalk man Ryan Moran.
The Bay Estate native is a Project Director on the construction of a new stadium and conference centre in Perth.
But he can now add star of the Youtube hit 'Building Perth Arena with style' to his list of accolades!
The DkIT graduate is featured in the clip which has attracted almost 7,000 hits, where he and his colleagues put on their very own peformance at the dizzy heights of the arena roof.
'A few weeks back myself and some of the lads decided to have a bit of craic and post a Youtube video of us taking the mick and doing a dance on the roof,' Ryan told The Argus.
'Little did we know the thing went viral and has about 7,000 hits and climbing!'
' To add to that, before the gala opening of the arena, the clip made television on Australian National 7 news, where they showed the whole clip, describing it as a few cheeky workers who stole the first performance.
'Not bad for a few Paddys upstaging Elton John!' said Ryan.
He explained that for the past two years he has been working a project supervisor on the new arena, which is being viewed as one of the biggest and most modern construction jobs in Australia to date.
'It is Perth's version of the Sydney Opera House. It's a world class venue due to host concerts, major tennis and basketball tournaments and other events.
Ryan added: 'It had a gala opening last week staging Elton John as the opening act, followed the next night by Matchbox 20 and INXS, which was covered across all the news stations.'
